Feedback
Game Features: Basic
Patient Profiles
Zukor
Media Player uses profiles to remember all the feedback game settings and
scores for each patient. So, when the patient returns for their the next
session, the clinician can start exactly where they left off.
Each
patient Profile also includes a “Nickname”feature so patients can
select a fun nickname for themselves which is displayed on the Scores screen.
Period/Session
Options
Clinicians
can easily setup the number of periods per session, the length of each period
and the optional Auto-Restart Next Period at a desired time interval.
Meter Options
The
clinician can separately turn on or off the vertical or horizontal meters.
Plus, there are five different styles of meters available, from the approach
used in most current games to new meter styles which use more intuitive visual
concepts and innovative graphical depictions.
Media
Types
The
Zukor Media Player offers clinicians near unlimited choice of media types,
including DVD movies, all common video file formats (AVI, MP4, WMV, etc.),
audio CDs, audio files (MP3, WAV, etc.), still images/photos (JPEG, GIF, PNG,
etc.), a built-in kaleidoscope, built-in fractal generator, plus
YouTube videos (as an upgrade option).
The
Zukor Media Player can play media files from your computer’s hard drive, from a CD, a
DVD or a memory stick (flash drive, thumb drive).
Display
The
clinician can separately turn off different types of on-screen displays, such
as the time, scores, etc.
Video Screen
The clinician
can easily change the size of the video screen within the Zukor Media Player
via a slider. Additionally, the video screen can dragged to any desired
positions
Graphics
The
Zukor Media Player can work in "fullscreen" or a resizable
"window" mode. Clinicians can also adjust the Zukor Media Player's
graphics quality lower or higher to meet the capabilities of their specific
computer system.
FEEDBACK
TYPES
The
following feedback can be used individually or combined per event up to 16
events:
• Blur • Bubbles • Color • Contrast • Double Vision • Fire • Fisheye • Frost • Grayscale • Hue • Overlay
• Pixelate • Play/Pause • Rain • Reveal (Puzzle) • Smoke • Snow • Sparkles • Twirl • Vignette • Volume
• Vortex • Zoom Out
Modality
Presets
The
Zukor Media Player works with all modalities of neuro and biofeedback training,
from Alpha-Theta to Z-Score, including 3 band “SMR”neurofeedback, HRV, BVP, EKG, GSR,
Respiration and Temperature. The most common modalities are available as
presets and selected from a simple drop down menu. However, as the Zukor Media
Player is not a stand-alone product, the events are first and foremost be
defined in the neuro or biofeedback system software.
Scores
Patients
earn training points for meeting event criteria, The point accumulation rate
can be adjusted by the clinician. The scores are saved for each session within
the patient profile. The Scores Screen data can be saved as a “screen
grab”graphic
file and as a Excel spreadsheet.
Feedback Game Features: Advanced
Auditory Feedback Options
The Zukor Media Player’s auditory feedback can be driven by 1 to 16 events. If desired, each event can trigger different sounds. For each event, a true sound and a false sound can be assigned, making the Zukor Media Player perfect for Alpha-Theta training, or any modality which requires a different sound for positive state and a negative state.
Clinicians can select from a broad array of high-quality sounds from both music instruments and synthetic sources, including MIDI. The feedback sound’s delay intervals can be set in milliseconds. The feedback sound’s volume can be adjusted separately from the game’s environmental sounds. There is also an option for “feedback controlled volume”and “feedback controlled pitch”so the volume or pitch of the sound depends on how well event criteria is being met.
Modality Editor
The Modality Editor in the Zukor Media Player allows the clinician to create additional modalities using from 1 to 16 events. These new modality definitions can be saved and easily accessed later via the Modality preset drop down menu in the Zukor Media Player.
The Modality Editor is not a substitute for the modality settings in the clinician’s neuro or biofeedback feedback system software, but rather a way for the clinician to tell the Zukor Media Player how to react to the clinical settings done in the neuro or biofeedback feedback system software.
Feedback Settings
Each feedback type can be custom configured in terms of the update rate in milliseconds, the minimum and maximum amount, the adjust by amount, plus additional unique settings for each feedback type.
The Zukor Media Player provides clinicians the ultimate choice, flexibility and features for using all types of media for patient feedback training.
The Zukor Media Player can handle video, audio and still images in all common file formats and also directly from DVDs and CDs. It also has a built-in fractal generator and kaleidoscope. And, as an upgrade feature, YouTube videos can be used.
The Zukor Media Player offers more than 25 types of high-quality feedback, from simple Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down, Pixelate and Zoom Out to more visually striking, such as Bubbles, Double Vision, Snow and Vortex.
The Zukor Media Player allows the clinician to use from 1 to 16 events to drive an equal number of visual effects or audio feedback sounds. It works with all modalities of neurofeedback and biofeedback, including Z-Score.
“The Zukor Media Player is the most sophisticated media player available for feedback training.”

Zukor Interactive
Your
computer system needs to meet the below requirements to properly run Zukor’s Air.
Computer
systems which don’t
meet these requirements may be able to run the game, but might encounter issues
ranging from minor to extreme. Please note that these computer systems
requirements are in alignment with those of the neurofeedback/biofeedback
system companies.
MINIMUM
COMPUTER SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Note:
Most computers sold within the last two years will meet the first two
requirements.
1.
OPERATING SYSTEM
Windows
7 or Windows 8 on
a regular PC or on a Mac (Bootcamp).
NOTE:
Microsoft no longer supports many versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
IMPORTANT:
Please make sure you have installed ALL Windows 7 or Windows 8 updates PRIOR
TO INSTALLING and
running Zukor's Air. Failure to do this may lead to improper operation of the
game.
2.
COMPUTER GRAPHICS REQUIREMENTS
Dedicated
graphics card with at least 512 MB dedicated video memory.
NOTE:
Systems which do not meet these graphic requirements will still likely play the
game, but may require graphic adjustments within the game to reduce graphics
quality so the game will play smoothly.
3.
MONITORS/DISPLAYS
Two
monitors (dedicated dual monitor setup). Game
monitor should be 21+ inches, “widescreen” and set at a minimum resolution of 1280x720.
NOTE
1: If using a laptop computer, the laptop screen counts as one monitor.
NOTE
2: A second monitor which meets the above requirements is a very inexpensive
investment costing about $125-$175 on Amazon or at Best Buy.
NOTE
3: Video projectors, Plasma TVs and LCD TVs usually work as well, but could
require the Windows graphic settings to be adjusted.
SUGGESTION:
For an absolutely amazing feedback experience for your patients, invest in a
42-inch Plasma or LCD TV for your second monitor. These currently cost about
$400 or less on Amazon or at Best Buy.
